Canon 60D vs. Canon T3i/600D Comparison

www.learningdslrvideo.com Recently I had a lot of people request a comparison review between the T3i/600D and the Canon 60D. B&H was nice enough to send me both units so I can review them here. These two cameras have very similar features and price points so I can see why a lot of people want to know which one to buy. Lets talk about price first, the 60D is about $100 more than the T3i. I have been using them both for over a week and I have to tell you that in terms of image quality they are pretty much equal as you can see here. This one of the clouds does look different but in just the minute or so it took to mount the other camera to the tripod the clouds moved and changed a bit. These camera use the same sensors so it makes sense that they look almost identical. I used the same lens in this test as well as the exposure and picture style settings. $35 bluetooth wireless setup for you Camera - DSLR FILM NOOB

www.dslrfilmnoob.com I've been waiting to post this for more then a week. The first Bluetooth transmitter I received was defective and I had to send it back. The seller was kind enough to cover return shipping, but the back and forth took awhile. I finally received the working Bluetooth transmitter a few days ago and had a chance to run the setup through its paces. I'm very happy to say that everything works great! I was able to get clean audio transmitted over 50 feet line of site and about 20 feet through walls. Two tests of battery life showed 5 hours the first test and 3 hours 45 min second test. Not the 8 hours promised by the manual but still quit good for the price. The receiver actually ran out of power before the transmitter on the second test. I would have thought it would be the other way around. Both the transmitter and receiver aren't much bigger then a compact flash card so they wont add much weight to your rig and since the Bluetooth transmitter sends stereo audio you can get 2 channels of audio back to your camera. Panasonic LX3 vs. Canon S90

I couldn't find a good comparison of the Panasonic LX3 and the new Canon S90 so I decided to create my own. The Panasonic has a better continuous shooting rate and support for HD video, while the Canon S90 has a friendlier interface and a smaller (pocket-sized) form factor.

How To Import a Custom Canon Picture Style

www.learningdslrvideo.com A lot of people have been asking how to import some of these custom picture styles I have been playing with lately. It is really easy, but I thought I would create a quick video on it. At the end of the video I test out a new picture style by Alex Mack called the Digital Cinema Lite. From what I can tell it sits between the Crooked Path Flat and the Marvel LOWc in terms of contrast. I have my picture styles order this way because from standard as you jog the well from Standard to 3,2,1 it becomes less and less contrasty so I can find the correct picture style quick depending on the lighting situation.
